We offer variety of first rate affordable semi guided Elk hunts that are conducted on private land only and are tailored to the hunter who does not want to pay $5,000 to $8,000 for a fully guided hunt but wants to enjoy the same high harvest rate at affordable prices. Experienced and knowledgeable guides will assist each hunter when needed and will help to retrieve harvested game from the field. Most of our private ranch land is accessible by ATV or 4X4 Truck and is a fantastic hunt for hunters of all ages. We often say If you can get in a pick-up, you can hunt with us!
Why hunt Colorado Elk?
Licensed hunters in Colorado annually harvest more Elk in northwest Colorado where we hunt than other states have for a total population. The Elk population is healthy and the bulls are large, partly due to harvest regulations that do not permit the taking of bull Elk that are less than 4 points on one side. Our hunters consistently harvest bulls over 320 Boon and Crockett scoring each year and most of the hunt seasons allow the taking of a bull and cow Elk as well as a Mule Deer. Another advantage is that Colorado is one of the last states where you can buy an Elk license over the counter, which means no application hassles or uncertainty of drawing licenses.
Colorado Mule Deer
Northwest Colorado is a great place to see and harvest “Mullies”. The Mule Deer population in Colorado is on the increase and in the last few years this has been very evident on our private ranch land. Mule Deer numbers and buck size have steadily grown and hunters have the opportunity to harvest a Mule Deer and two Elk during most hunting seasons. These are fantastic and affordable combo hunting adventures enjoyed by hunters of all ages.

Terrain
Our private ranch land is located in the northwest Colorado mountains at elevations from 6,500 ft to 9,500 ft. The habitat is varied with approximately 20% Oak brush and 80% Aspen and Spruce/dark timber.
Methods of Hunting
Depending on the season, hunters may hunt with bow and arrow, black powder or rifle. The type of hunting is mostly sitting and watching for moving game and some spot and stalk.
Lodging and Meals
There are several different motels and hotels in the area that provide clean and comfortable rooms at reasonable rates. We are happy to provide you with names and numbers of the accommodations we recommend. Clients may, also opt to bring their own RV or camper or tents to camp on the hunting lease. There is also a wall tent with a camp stove on the hunting lease that clients are welcome to use, with prior arrangements at no additional cost to them. There is a local grocery store, quick stops and several local eateries with good food at economical prices. *Lodging and meals are not included in the price of your hunt.
Licenses
Hunters can purchase their licenses through the Colorado Division of Wildlife Website, http://wildlife.state.co.us
by phone or, for most seasons, over the counter in Colorado, although we highly recommend that you purchase your license in advance.

How to Book a Hunt

A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking. Deposits are non-refundable, however if an emergency should arise preventing you from participating in your scheduled hunt, it can be used toward another hunt or Alaska Fly-out Adventure with Arrowhead Outfitters LLC.1-YEAR CARRY OVER ONLY
After payment of your deposit we will provide you with a receipt, hunt contract, medical release and letter of introduction/itinerary.
Balance of hunt due per contract, personal checks will only be accepted 90 days prior to start of your chosen hunt. Cash or Visa, Mastercard or PayPal payments only after 60 days.

General Rules
A Hunters Safety Card is required in Colorado if you were born after January 1, 1949
No party hunting. It is illegal in Colorado.
Keep required orange on at all times, NO CAMO ORANGE, it is illegal in Colorado. Rifle and Muzzleloader hunters are required to wear 500 square inches of Blaze Orange and a blaze orange cap.
Please make ARROWHEAD OUTFITTERS LLC aware of any medical conditions you may have.
No closed actions on firearms in vehicles, around people, or at camp!
No excessive drinking or handling firearms when drinking.
ARROWHEAD OUTFITTERS LLC is not responsible for accidents.
This is a written warning about the sport of hunting. Hunting is a very dangerous sport and conditions of a hunt can be adverse. Safety is an utmost concern and each hunter is expected to act in a responsible and ethical manner. Conditions could occur that are beyond the control of ARROWHEAD OUTFITTERS LLC.
Any illegally taken game will be turned over to the proper State's Division of Wildlife. Any costs will be the responsibility of the individual hunter(s). Please read the game laws carefully and feel free to ask questions.
