Moose Hunting Southern Brooks Range
Arrowhead Outfitters is excited to offer fly-in self-guided trophy Bull Moose hunts in the southern Brooks Range. We encourage our hunters to plan for at least 15 days in the field due to weather. If you have tagged out early and/or wish to come out of the field, our pilots are ready and willing to extract you early, weather and schedule dependent, so you can continue the next leg of your trip.
The cost of your hunt includes the flight to and from the drop off hunting location and transport of your meat and horns. We do not charge anything extra if you harvest a wolf and/or bear (Alaska resident or direct next of kin, as per State of Alaska hunting regulations for Grizzly Bear) while on your hunt. Additionally, If necessary, we will move you to a different location (weather and schedule dependent) if requested during your hunt.
Call or email us today for available dates, pricing and details.
Hunts are limited and will be offered on a first come, first served basis. Don’t delay! Book today!
Our fly-out hunts are all self-guided. Moose are very large animals and hunters must be experienced and fully capable of hunting, quartering, packing and properly caring for their game (according to State of Alaska big game hunting regulations).
Arrowhead Outfitters’ SBR Moose Transport Harvest 19% (2020), 20% (2021) & 27% (2022) success rate per individual hunter.

ITINERARY
Our fly out Moose hunts begin approximately 30 miles south of Coldfoot, AK.
Hunters flying in from other states generally fly commercially into Fairbanks. They then rent a vehicle and purchase any last minute supplies (food, fuel, tags/licenses) and begin the drive to our base camp. There are no stores to purchase food and/or supplies after you leave Fairbanks, so you must pick up all necessities before you depart. Food and fuel can be found in Coldfoot. Available accomodations are the Coldfoot Camp in Coldfoot or the Boreal Lodge & Arctic Gateway in Wiseman. Be sure and make your reservations well in advance of your trip if you wish to stay there.
We ask our hunters to be at our camp and ready for orientation by 8:00 AM the day of their scheduled flight. Hunters must advise us if they will be arriving later. Many allow extra time and arrive at our camp the night before their fly-out date. The day of your hunt, all hunters must take part in a mandatory orientation. During orientation, we check your license documentation, go over communications, transport of game meat, leave no trace camping and other important information. Before you depart camp, you must ensure you have your field gear including: food, supplies, hunting and camp equipment. All must be organized and packed according to Arrowhead Outfitters LLC’s size and weight limits.
When it’s time to depart for your hunt, you will drive your vehicle to our plane location to be flown into the field. Our crew will drive your vehicle back to our base camp, where it will remain safe and secure until your return.
